Krewe Battle (Mardi Gras)

Programmer/ Technical Artist

In the Krewe Battle project, our team worked to help Universal Theme Park address the bead placement issue during the Mardi Gras event. My role in this project was to develop a prototype version of one of the installations, the AR Photo Booth. This booth was activated by dropping beads into the system, allowing visitors to wear Mardi Gras-themed masks through augmented reality.

Prototype testing

During the prototype development, we used 8th Wall’s cloud environment to enable simple cross-platform testing and support single RGB camera input. Finally, we set up a TV display and used a webcam as the input source.
